Dan Osman did not die while climbing. However, he did die jumping. He used to tie climbing ropes together and use them like bungee cords. One time a knot exploded and he hit the deck.
If you have a death wish, pack light and leave the rope at home.

That was terrifying. I love to climb, but I definitely prefer being roped in. This Outside article about him was really interesting.
